Sheesh, man, that was a close one,’ Isha says, when I tell her what happened. ‘We should’ve known Barney Divney would stick his nose in at some point. There was no way he was going to let everyone at school call him a Bawler. If he’s decided to track Arley and Tapper down, then we’re in SERIOUS trouble. We need to get them back to Toon World as soon as possible.’

‘Where are they now?’ I ask. We’re stood on Isha’s doorstep and I scan her hallway for any biscuit crumbs or cushion feathers.

‘I snuck them straight up to my room. I’ve given them some costumes to try on, but they’re not taking it very seriously . . .’

I sigh. ‘They still think they’re in an adventure.’

We walk past the living room, where Isha introduces me to her dad (Marcus), her mum (Anita), and her big, slobbery dogs (Jarry and Baxendale), who all seem super nice (although Baxendale covers my ENTIRE leg in icky dog drool).

And then we go upstairs to Isha’s bedroom, and my first thought is, Oh, FLIP . . . Look at all this STUFF! Every shelf is CRAMMED with books or comics or toys!

It’s awesome.

But then I spot the big hairy monster in the middle of the room, and my second thought is, WHAT IS THAT WEREWOLF DOING HERE?!

‘Sweet!’ Isha giggles. ‘It fits perfectly!’
